Staying safe on Magntc

Last updated: 10 October 2026

Most people on Magntc are here to meet someone, kindly and honestly. A few are not. This page is how to look after yourself — and what Magntc does and does not do for you.

What you should know first

We do not run criminal background checks on members, and we do not verify identities beyond the checks the app describes. A verification badge confirms only what it says it confirms — never that someone is safe. You are responsible for your own safety, and for your conduct towards others (Terms of Service, section 3).

Tools Magntc gives you

  • Hide Me Now — one tap, and nobody new can find you. It works even with no internet.
  • Block — immediate, from any profile or conversation.
  • Report — goes to a person on our team. The other person is never told who reported them.
  • No messages before a match — nobody can message you unless you both said yes.
  • No location, ever — nobody is told your distance, your direction, or where you are.
  • Safe Date — note who you're meeting and when, get a reminder on your phone to check in, and text or call someone you trust in one tap. Nothing is sent automatically: if you don't check in, nobody is alerted — so tell your trusted person yourself.

Before you meet

  • Take your time. Talk on Magntc first. You don't owe anyone a meeting.
  • Stay on Magntc until you trust someone. Be wary of anyone who rushes you onto another app.
  • Protect your details. Don't share your home or work address, your daily routine, or financial information.
  • Never send money, gift cards or crypto to someone you met online — whatever the story. That is the most common scam there is.
  • Look them up. A video call before you meet is a good way to know they are who they say.

When you meet

  • Meet in public, somewhere busy, and get there and home on your own.
  • Tell a friend where you'll be, who with, and when you'll check in. Safe Date reminds you, but it does not alert anyone for you.
  • Stay in control. Watch your drink and your belongings.
  • Leave whenever you want. You don't need a reason.

Consent

Consent is clear, freely given, and can be withdrawn at any moment. No means no, and silence isn't yes. Someone who is drunk or asleep cannot consent.

If something goes wrong

  • If you are in danger, call your local emergency number — 112 in India and across the EU, 911 in the US and Canada, 999 in the UK, 000 in Australia.
  • Report it in the app, or write to contact@weuinnovations.in. We act on reports, and we cooperate with the police under valid legal process (Law Enforcement Guidelines).
  • Support in India: Women Helpline 181, National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal cybercrime.gov.in or helpline 1930.
